After six successful seasons in Vienna Alma moved
to Venice. In 2002 the audience came from all over the world
to take part in this international theatre event which took
place in a wonderful Venetian palazzo. "Alma a Venezia"
was an even bigger success than in Austria. Hilarious reviews
were published in the international press. In the summer of
2003 the production took one step further into the fascinating
life-story of Alma: It was performed in the old city of Lisbon,
Almas last station in Europe after her escape from Nazi
Germanyin 1940. The more than fifty scenes of Almas
life were shown in a 17th century monastery, including a church
and a beautiful palm garden. Again the success was enormous.
A real Alma-audience had developed, one fanatical fan set
a record of attending 73 Alma-performances and followed his
heroine over Austrian borders to Italy and Portugal.
